Jiaogulan | "Herb of Immortality"
Gynostemma, also known as Jiaogulan, is a revered herb native to Southeast Asia and long celebrated in traditional Chinese herbalism for its ability to support vitality and longevity. Often referred to as the “Herb of Immortality,” Jiaogulan is traditionally consumed as a tea to promote energy balance, stamina, and resilience.
Rich in naturally occurring saponins—compounds also found in ginseng—Gynostemma is sometimes called “Southern Ginseng” or “Poor Man’s Ginseng”.
It is a very pleasant and naturally sweet tea.
Suggested Use: Add up to 1 tsp per 1 cup of hot water, but not boiling, infuse 1-3 minutes, then strain. The leaves are naturally so sweet and aromatic, that a second or third steep, will still grant pleasant tea. Be sure to do at least 2 rounds per 1tsp serving.
