Raab Organic Almond Protein is an ideal enrichment for sweet and savoury dishes and drinks as well as a great addition to smoothies, mueslis, desserts and baked goods. It is obtained through a gentle de-oiling and grinding process and is cherished for its typical delicate aroma.
To make the flour, almonds are gently turned into oil via mechanical pressing. The result is the de-oiled press cake, which can be used as nut flour. The wonderful aroma unfolds during cooking and baking.
Ingredients: 100 % almond flour, partially defatted (from controlled organic farming; almonds from Europe only).
Recommended intake: Almond protein is a delicious addition to smoothies, mueslis, desserts and baked goods. Mix about 2 tbsp (each 10 g) of the powder with 250 ml of liquid, e.g. oat, almond, rice or coconut milk, or replace part of the conventional flour with almond protein when baking. Can also be used as a gentle and effective skin exfoliant.
Why I love it:
I like to use it in my morning smoothies as it makes them extra rich and smooth, adding a subtle almond flavour that I love, without the oil, which sometimes can be hard to digest if your digestive system is sensitive. And because of its high protein content, it guarantees I don't miss out on this important nutrient, which I otherwise tend to neglect in my other meals.
I love to use ut also blended with a little maple syrup and water - makes a delicious instant sweet treat that is easy to digest and good for my body.
