Prepare matcha tea the traditional way. Matcha tea is traditionally prepared using a chasen, a Japanese bamboo whisk elaborately crafted from a single piece of bamboo. The special technique by which the bristles are cut and bent into shape requires the skill of a master artisan.

To prepare matcha tea the traditional way, place half a teaspoon of Raab Organic Matcha into a bowl and add soft water at a temperature of 80 °C (176 °F). Use the matcha whisk to beat the tea for about 15 seconds until creamy, describing a W-shape.

Use of the matcha whisk results in a smooth, creamy layer of foam. Before using the whisk, place it in hot water in an upright position for a short time.
