What is the difference between Carapate oil and Castor oil?

The technique used to obtain Black Castor Oil is artisanal, manual, and ancestral; it is passed down from mother to daughter in Madagascar.

The oil is extracted not by cold pressing, but by a process that involves roasting and then boiling the seeds in water, then recovering the supernatant oil.

During this process, ashes mix with the oil, not seen as impurities but as an asset because they help open the hair scales and facilitate better absorption of nutrients into the hair fiber.
