A gradual self-tan serum that combines skincare and tanning in one formula.

Unlike traditional self-tans, which are often designed for fast, dramatic results, a serum works more gently:

At the heart of the formula, pure plant-derived DHA works synergistically with date palm melanin and advanced plant peptides that boost the skin's own eumelanin synthesis — delivering a natural-looking, streak-free colour that develops gradually and beautifully.

Hydrating rose water and aloe vera soothe and replenish, smoothing phytocollagen softens and firms, and prebiotic agave extract balances the microbiome while stimulating the skin's own hyaluronic acid production.

    HELPS WITH

    • Building a gradual, natural-looking sun-kissed glow without streaks or irritation
    • Deeply hydrating, smoothing, and nourishing the skin while it tans
    • Balancing the skin's microbiome and stimulating natural hyaluronic acid production

SUITABLE FOR: All skin types. Dermatologically tested and approved for sensitive skin. Fragrance-free, vegan, and certified 100% natural origin.

    Available in: 30ml

TEXTURE: A lightweight, silky serum that absorbs effortlessly into the skin, leaving it feeling hydrated, smooth, and beautifully luminous as your glow gradually develops.

HOW TO USE: After cleansing, apply a few drops to your face, aiming to achieve an even coverage and massaging in until fully absorbed. You can also mix the drops with your regular moisturiser, or apply after moisturising. Wash your hands after use so you don’t get tanned palms. Apply again after 24 hours if you’d like to achieve a deeper colour. Top up every few days as desired. Extra Tip: Once your tanning serum has absorbed, apply a few drops of your favourite serum for an immediate, radiant glow while your tan develops.

Ingredients: Organic aloe vera juice, Organic rose floral water, Fermented non GMO corn sugar, Plant-derived DHA, Glycerine (non-palm), Radish root extract, Prebiotic agave extract, Organic acacia gum, Sclerotium gum, Lactic acid, Stabilisers (corn derived), Xanthan gum.

72.8% organic. 100% natural origin. Packaged in a recyclable glass bottle with pipette.

    Made in the UK.

Fragrance free, dermatologically approved, and certified 100% natural, this Face Self-Tanning Serum is gentle on sensitive skin.

Organic Rose Floral Water (Rosa damascena): Steam-distilled from the petals of the Damask rose, this precious floral water soothes, tones, and gently hydrates the skin while its delicate aroma brings a soft, calming quality to the application ritual.

Organic Aloe Vera Juice (Aloe barbadensis): Nature's ultimate soother, aloe vera deeply hydrates, calms inflammation, and supports the skin's natural healing processes — ensuring the skin stays comfortable, nourished, and beautifully balanced as your glow develops.

Plant-Derived DHA: The active tanning ingredient in this formula, DHA is derived entirely from plant sources and works by interacting with the skin's natural amino acids to create a gradual, natural-looking colour — without any harsh chemicals or synthetic ingredients.

Melanin (date palm derived): Sourced from the fruit of the date palm, this natural melanin works synergistically with plant-derived DHA to enhance and deepen the skin's colour while protecting against oxidative stress for a more radiant, even-toned glow.

Phytocollagen: A plant-derived collagen alternative that smooths, firms, and softens the skin's texture — leaving it visibly more supple and luminous as your tan develops.

Prebiotic Agave Extract (Inulin): Derived from the agave plant, this natural prebiotic nourishes the skin's beneficial bacteria, supports microbiome balance, and stimulates the skin's own natural hyaluronic acid production for deep, lasting hydration.

Glycerine (non-palm): A plant-derived humectant that draws moisture into the skin and maintains lasting plumpness, softness, and comfort throughout the day.

Fermented Corn Sugar (propanediol): A naturally derived skin-conditioning agent sourced from corn, it enhances hydration, improves the texture of the formula, and helps active ingredients absorb beautifully into the skin.

Radish Root Extract (Leuconostoc/radish root ferment filtrate): A probiotic-derived preservative produced through the fermentation of radish root, it protects the formula naturally while supporting the skin's microbiome balance.

Organic Acacia Gum (Acacia senegal): A natural thickener and skin-conditioning agent derived from the sap of the acacia tree, it gives the serum its smooth, silky texture while gently nourishing the skin.

Sclerotium Gum: A natural, fermentation-derived thickener that gives the formula its luxurious, skin-loving texture while helping to retain moisture in the skin.

Lactic Acid: A naturally occurring AHA found in fermented foods, lactic acid gently balances the pH of the formula for optimal skin compatibility and stability.

Xanthan Gum: A natural thickener derived from fermented plant sugars, giving the serum its smooth, silky consistency.

Sodium Levulinate & Sodium Anisate: Natural preservatives derived from plants — levulinic acid found in many botanicals, and anise — they work together to keep the formula safe and stable without the use of harsh synthetic preservatives.

Glyceryl Laurate: A gentle, plant-derived emulsifier and skin-conditioning agent derived from lauric acid, it helps stabilise the formula while being exceptionally kind to sensitive skin.

Phytic Acid: A naturally occurring antioxidant found in grains, seeds, and legumes, phytic acid protects the formula and the skin from oxidative stress while gently supporting a more even, luminous skin tone.

      Step-by-Step: How to Apply

      1. Start with Clean Skin

Apply to freshly cleansed skin. This helps ensure even absorption.

You don’t need to exfoliate aggressively — a gentle cleanse is usually enough.

      2. Apply a Small Amount

Use a few drops and apply evenly across the face, just like a serum.

      Focus on:

      • Forehead
      • Cheeks
      • Chin

Blend lightly over the nose and jawline.

      3. Blend Carefully

Take a moment to blend around:

      • Hairline
      • Eyebrows
      • Sides of the nose

      This helps avoid uneven build-up.

      4. Wash Hands After Application

This prevents staining on the palms.

      5. Let It Absorb

Allow the serum to fully absorb before applying other products.

At this stage, the tanning ingredients begin to react with the skin.

If you’d like an immediate glow, you can apply a lightweight radiance-boosting product once the serum has absorbed. A light oil based serum layers well at this stage, enhancing luminosity while your tan develops gradually.

Should You Use It Alone or with Moisturiser?

You can use a gradual self-tan serum in two ways:

      On its own

For a slightly deeper, more noticeable glow.

      After or mixed with moisturiser

For a softer, more subtle result.

      Mixing is ideal if:

      • You’re new to self-tan
      • You prefer a very natural finish
      • Your skin is particularly sensitive

      How Often Should You Apply?

This depends on your desired result.

      • 1 application → very subtle glow
      • 2 applications (24 hours apart) → more defined warmth
      • Ongoing use → maintains colour

Gradual formulas are designed to be buildable, so there’s no need to rush.

      When Will You See Results?

You’ll usually notice colour developing within a few hours, with the full result visible by the next day.

Because the process is gradual, the finish tends to look more natural and even than fast-developing formulas.

Tips for the Most Natural Result

      • Start light and build gradually
      • Keep the application even and minimal
      • Avoid layering with strong actives (like acids or retinoids) at the same time
      • Maintain hydration for a smoother finish

      A Skincare-First Approach

One of the advantages of modern self-tan serums is that they often include skin-supporting ingredients, such as:

      • Hydrating botanicals
      • Prebiotics or probiotics
      • Plant-based actives

This helps maintain skin comfort while colour develops — particularly important for sensitive skin.

      The Bottom Line

A gradual self-tan is one of the easiest and most forgiving ways to achieve a natural glow.

so this one isnt dangerous? becaue my first quesiotn was if melanin products were dangerous and you said yes. but this formula containsmelanin and you're saying it is good formula. i'm confused I totally understand the confusion! The word  "melanin" is used for two very different types of products, and that makes a huge difference in safety. Here is why your second formula is safe, while the ones I warned you about are not: 1. Topical Melanin (Safe) The formula you just shared contains topical melanin (applied on the skin).
      • What it is: This is usually a natural pigment derived from plants or fungi.
      • Why it's safe: It sits on the surface of your skin like a sheer, natural "tint" or makeup. It doesn't enter your bloodstream or change your biology. It just adds a temporary bronze glow and acts as an antioxidant to help protect your skin cells from environmental stress.
      • Your formula's "secret": The actual "tan" in your product comes from DHA (the sugar-based ingredient), not the melanin. The melanin is just there to give you an instant, natural-looking color while the DHA develops.
      2. Melanin "Boosters" or "Injections" (Dangerous) The "melanin products" I warned you about earlier are systemic (taken into the body).
      • What they are: These are usually synthetic hormones (like Melanotan) or "melanin-boosting" pills and nasal sprays.
      • Why they're dangerous: They don't just sit on your skin; they travel through your blood to your brain and organs to force your body to produce more pigment internally. This is unregulated and can cause serious issues like kidney damage, new or changing moles, and even cancer.
The Verdict on Your Formula Your specific formula (Aqua, Rosa damascena, Dihydroxyacetone, Melanin...) is a topical sunless tanner. It is:
      • Non-hormonal: It doesn't mess with your body's internal systems.
      • Plant-based: It uses fermentation and natural extracts instead of petroleum.
      • Surface-level: It only affects the very top, dead layer of your skin.
In short: Putting melanin on your skin (in a clean serum like yours) is totally safe. Taking things to "boost" melanin inside your body is the dangerous part.
