The cocoa for this vegan organic chocolate grows wild in a centuries-old tree population in a conservation project in the Bolivian jungle. In the social nature conservation project of Marcela and David, the inhabitants harvest and ferment the cocoa beans in harmony with nature. The area where the cocoa grows is a common, protected land of the locals and has been certified organic since 2006. It ensures the indigenous population's financial independence – they generate 80% of their income by selling wild cocoa beans.
We source the high-quality cocoa directly from farming families using the bean-to-bar principle.
